First and foremost, this site demands respect of all of its members. This means no harrassment, no derogatory comments, no copious amounts of swearing (though lenience is granted on that), etc. Treat people how you want to be treated, period.
We are an advanced rping site. Thus, we expect you to be posting a few times a week, and with posts that are at -least- three paragraphs long. Writer's block happens-- we all know that. But please do your best to keep up with the site's standards.
ROM is a medieval/fantasy site. As such, you cannot have any l33t (or otherwise) robots, guns, cars, electricity, or indoor plumbing. Keep it with the times!
For the love of all that is holy, no godmoding. No immortal angel characters with wings, fire-breathing abilities, telekinesis and laser-beam eyes. It's just not cool. You must be able to be killed. On that note, this rule also means no killing other people's characters unless they say so. The same goes for mortal wounding.
Along the same track, if you are new, accept the fact that you are new and deal with it, character-wise. The character you are playing might have been ruler of the universe on your last rp site, but on here, that's probably not going to be the case unless you have permission from the admins. The basic rule for power on RoM is "the longer you've been here, the more powerful your character can be". That's pretty self-explanatory.
If you have a problem with someone on the site OOC (out of character), or with something they're doing IC (in character), take it up with them first through PMING ONLY. As much as you think everyone else on RoM wants to see loads of arguing and bitching amongst members on the chatbox...we really don't. If you can't resolve your differences through PM, then go to either Aherne or Rahina, who will be quite happy to help resolve whatever conflict you have.
If you have a suggestion for the site, or the way it is run, we (the admins) would love to hear it! What we DON'T want to read is "omfg wtf are the admins doing...this site sucks. you should do [insert problem here] better". That makes you sound -really- mature and everyone will listen to you.
b: ...that was a blatant lie. Please don't say that. Either PM one of us, or post somewhere on the OOC part of the site.
Have fun! This site is here for your enjoyment and for the betterment of everyone's writing. If you have any problems at all, at any point, get in contact with the admins, or anyone else on the site.
These rules were written by Aherne and seconded by Rahina
